P.Bass '51 Vintage Style is a reproduction of a pickup from the 50s characterized by an exceptionally transparent tone. The pickup was widely used until 1957 before it was replaced by the dual-coil version we know today.
This is a real treat for collectors and lovers of classic, vintage sound.
The materials used retain all the historical details giving a unique character in the vintage style.
The bobbins are made of vulcanized fiber.
As in the original version, the coil is wrapped with cotton string.
The coils are wound with copper magnet wire insulated with Plain-Enamel coating commonly used in the 50s and 60s.
Nowadays it is used in reproductions and custom guitar pickups.
The pickup will find its place in such music types as blues, jazz, classic rock, country, funk, reggae, indie, pop.
